lyrics
maria
why can’t i breathe around ya
maria
i’m feeling weak around ya
maria
if i could even call you that
i feel myself begging for your attention
why do i need it so badly
everyday a competition
why am i so obsessed with your skin
i can’t explain how i know every part of your face
why i can’t breathe around ya
why don’t i know me around ya
i want to be free around ya
why don’t i know me around ya
i’m feeling weak around ya
why don’t i know me around ya
i’m feeling weak around you
i still wanna be around ya

who doesn't love a band committed to punk, poetry, and artistic purity? this is a more confidently patient release than Symmetry, but the riffs are no less monstrous and the textures deepen the space the songs inhabit. the lyrics have no fat to them, but still manage to be thought provoking, impressionistic, and emotional. always a pleasure :)
